**This position is based in Midland, TX.**


Role Description:


As an EHS Specialist at CalTex Energy Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and procedures to minimize risks and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. This is a full-time on-site role for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees and contractors
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and improve safety performance
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our HSE programs


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus
