Environmental Field Tech

Overview

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Environmental Field Tech to support the field with environmental objectives. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, this position will be responsible for conducting fieldwork and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental monitoring and sampling activities at production facilities.
  • Perform routine inspections and audits to identify potential environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect samples of soil, water, air, and waste materials for analysis, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor and record environmental parameters, such as air emissions, water quality, and noise levels, using specialized equipment and instrumentation.
  • Support spill prevention and emergency response efforts by participating in training exercises and drills.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address environmental concerns and ensure timely compliance with permits and approvals.
  • Conduct field surveys and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental controls and mitigation measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of monitoring data, inspections, and corrective actions taken to address environmental issues.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate with operations personnel to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and decision-making processes.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with environmental monitoring techniques and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately collect and record data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with field personnel teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
