Title:Environmental Engineer
Location: LA, CA – Edwards, AFB
Schedule: M-F - traditional scheduled (Hybrid but must be willing to be on-site)
Duration: Permanent
Must haves:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited discipline university in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline or related field is required.
3+ years of experience in environmental restoration under the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
Experience in the field apart of the restoration/remediation process
Excellent organizational skills and excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Must be detail-oriented – this individual will be assisting with reports and consulting the Air Force
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background investigation
Plusses:
Experience with the Air Force environmental restoration program.
Experience interacting with state and federal environmental regulatory agencies preferred.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition, and program management.
