Job Summary
You can be a part of a dynamic, high-speed team, and gain valuable work experience while working with fun and innovative products. Throughout the internship, you will have periodic meetings with the EHS Manager to discuss performance, goals, and projects. To reinforce our high-performing, results- and values- based culture, you will receive an evaluation halfway through your internship, as well as a final evaluation at the end.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist with Safety program compliance and training development
Assist Permit review and application for AQMD, LACSD
Conduct database maintenance
Conduct daily and weekly facility audits
Participates in Brewery Safety activities and project teams
Learn to apply Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles, work practices and structured communication (ISO 45001).
Learn to apply Environmental Management Systems (EMS) principles, work practices and structured communication (ISO 14001).
Develop a basic understanding of machine and equipment processes, CalOSHA/OSHA standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Operating in a safe manner at all times, and identifying and highlighting unsafe work practices.
Develop a basic understanding of structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
The ideal candidate will work part-time hours during the school year and part-time or full-time hours during school breaks. Flexible work hours can be established to match your class schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have completed at least one year at a college/university at time of application; Majors Considered: Engineering, Health Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology. 3.0 GPA or above is required.
