About The Position
We are seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Department in our Kennebunk, ME office. This professional will work as a member of a team on a variety of projects focusing on highway, roadway, and multi-modal design projects. This may include roadway and intersection projects (roadway alignment layouts, complete streets implementation, etc.), bridge approach projects, stormwater design, climate resiliency roadway adaptations, and bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure.
Under the direction of a Professional Engineer/Project Manager, the Transportation Engineer may be responsible for field work, concept and detailed design, and calculations among other engineering support activities. Our project engineers have a variety of opportunities to gain experience in many facets of transportation design so that they may decide the career path that best fits their aspirations.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Typically requires 0-3 years of relevant experience; internship experience will be considered
EIT registration preferred
Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads, and GIS preferred
