Enterprise Data Architect

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic vision for our organization's data management and architecture. This role requires expertise in data modeling, database design, data integration, and data governance to support our business objectives and ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop enterprise data architecture strategies, principles, and standards.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and databases that support business applications and analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management technologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor data engineering teams in best practices for data architecture and design.
  • Design and implement data integration processes to consolidate and synchronize data from disparate sources.
  • Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decisions and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation, metadata, and data lineage.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data management and analytics.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions and architectures.
  • Expertise in data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB).
  • Strong understanding of data integration techniques, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data security, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
