Position: English Language Arts Teacher (Independent Contractor)
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging virtual lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Provide personalized instruction and support aligned with individual learning goals, abilities, and accommodations.
Offer constructive feedback to foster academic growth and development.
Collaborate with fellow educators to share insights, resources, and strategies for supporting diverse student needs.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and pertinent data.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Valid Virginia teaching certificate with an endorsement in English Language Arts.
Strong communication skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student growth.
Additional Requirements
Experience in educational settings preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in school or pediatric settings.
Home computer with high-speed internet.
Comfort with technology; onboarding provided for software.
Own liability insurance as an independent contractor.
