North Reading Public Schools has an anticipated opening for a part-time ESL Tutor. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.
In this role you will tutor students for 3-4 hours per day, four (4) days per week, Monday through Thursday, from August 19, 2024 through August 29, 2024.
Essential Duties
Provide ESL and content area tutoring to Limited English Proficient students in small groups or one-to-one
Write goal/progress reports
Communicate with parents/guardians/families as needed
Requirements
Bachelors Degree
Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement
Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Teacher, English as a Second Language, any grade level, preferred
Cultural sensitivity and interest in working with a diverse student population
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English with administrators, students, and families
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
