Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following:
- 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-10 level defined as conducting bench-top tests of environmental data and sample environmental data; developing practical testing and sampling methods for the collection and analysis of environmental data; and communicating results and findings in written and/or oral reports.
- 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree; or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; the education must be directly related and provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of testing and sampling methods for producing environmental data.
- Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
- Skill in analyzing study samples.
- Skill in developing practical non-standard testing and sampling methods.
- Skill in maintaining laboratory and/or field equipment.
- Ability to define training objectives.
- Skill in written communication.
- Skill in oral communication.
