About the Position:


Opportune is seeking an Engineering Technician that would work within a diverse team of energy professionals to support investment banking activities ranging from asset acquisition/divestitures, corporate mergers, and debt/equity capital market activities.Individual would work closely with engineers and finance professionals to generate, modify, and analyze company reserve databases to generate views on company and asset valuations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while delivering high quality work products for the team.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years experience working for an oil and gas company / investment banking (A&D)
  • Ability to work in fast pace, highly dynamic work environment
  • Expert in Reserve analysis software (Aries, PhDWin, ComboCurve)
  • Significant experience manipulating and working with 3rd party reserve databases
  • Proficient with industry standard platforms (Enverus, IHS, Spotfire, SQL / Access)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Downtown Houston in the Pennzoil Building
