MW Components, Inc is a leading manufacturer of cold headed fasteners which has a full-time position available for a Draftsman/Drafter/CAD. The successful candidate must have experience creating drawings with AutoCad in a commercial office environment.
REPORTING TO
Engineering Manager
Essential Job Functions
Reviewing customers drawing to understand considerations for the creation of production and tooling drawings.
Create production and tooling drawings.
Updating shop and tooling drawings as needed.
Organize and maintain library of existing and current shop drawings.
Work with production team and project managers for fabrication details
As an equal participant on the team, contributes to meeting goals and directions for the group.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS And ABILITIES
Proficient in AutoCad.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365/MS Office Suite.
Some industry experience with fasteners
Ability to read, understand, and transfer details from customer drawings to shop drawings.
Superb organizational skills
Ability to work with others.
Excellent communication skills
EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline
2 – 4 years of experience in a variety of manufacturing processes; 5 years preferred
