What You'll Do

As an Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, responsible for managing Painesville Engineering through operational excellence of engineering standards, project planning and development, construction, and modernization of the facility to achieve company goals: process safety, mechanical integrity and reliability, sustainability, and manufacturing to plan. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

What We're Looking For

  • Manages all aspects of engineering standards, capital planning, project development and construction activities for the facility. Included with these responsibilities, personnel management of full-time employees and contract workforce.
  • Manage project execution that meets or exceeds project requirements: on time, on budget and operate to design.
  • Manage facility capital planning: annual to multi-year plans for budgeting.
  • Manage relationships and prioritization of projects with stakeholders: Production, Maintenance, PSM, Safety, and Environmental.
  • Manage contractor relationships, which includes performance of services provided to ensure value is being met for Lubrizol.
  • Provide leadership with engagements in the office and plant, monitoring performance as it relates to: health, safety, work efficiency, and management of tasks to deliver desired results.
  • Provide leadership for implementation and accountability of standard work practices; implement continuous improvement tools to enhance performance and results.
  • Provide leadership for employee development through regular engagements on performance and career paths, utilizing internal and external resources for employees.

Skills That Make a Difference

  • Bachelors or Masters - Engineer Disciplines (Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / EE) or equivalent discipline degree related to project management and / or construction.
  • 10+ years of experience working in project management, engineering and / or construction, preference for in chemical processing and facilities
  • 5+ years of experience managing people, preference for leadership in engineering or construction functions
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, project portfolio management software (i.e. Primavera), cost estimating, and drafting software (AutoCad) programs.
