We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our XLSTAT and DTS Team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and enhancement of industry-leading statistical software products, mentor an Agile team, and collaborate across departments to ensure the highest quality standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence major projects within Lumivero, driving innovation and excellence in data analysis tools. Ideal candidates will have a robust software development background, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.

This full-time, remote, global role offers competitive compensation and will report to the Director of Engineering-Assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and enhancement of XLSTAT and DTS products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and the Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of new and enhanced products.
  • Innovate current frameworks, technical standards, coding, and software practices.
  • Design, document, and lead end-to-end architecture of new initiatives.
  • Mentor, guide, and coach Software Engineers and QA Analysts within two Agile teams.
  • Lead development and lifetime maintenance of software products.
  • Manage continuous improvement processes within the software products’ lifecycle.
  • Lead the movement of legacy applications to new platforms.
  • Facilitate all facets of team management; including hiring, one-on-ones, reviews, and professional development within two teams
  • Foster a collaborative environment where trust and
  • Provide leadership in solving engineering problems and fostering creativity and innovation in design and problem solutions
  • Anticipate the need for new tools, methods, technologies, and processes; Advocating for your members




Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong experience in .NET & C#, C++, VB
  • In-depth knowledge of developing Excel applications Strong experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Time management, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coach team members.
  • Well-versed in change management
  • This role requires overlapping working hours with both Ecuador (ECT) and France (CET)




Nice to have


  • Experience working alongside Global teams
  • Familiarity with event-driven microservices and REST APIs.
  • Experience with UX/UI design.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD processes, and microservices architecture.
