Review Government solicitations and related technical data packages for feasibility to build and test.
Write test reports, deviation requests, and technical specifications for products.
Lead team in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
Improve engineering processes and procedures and ensure they are applied correctly.
Develop detailed plans for new designs and products.
Lead staff and delegate tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
Conduct risk management.
Present new business opportunities to potential customers.
Manage parts obsolescence.
Write Request for Variance (RFV) when parts used in assemblies are changed.
Review older specifications and drawings.
Complete costing for NRE material and time.
Required Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree in engineering preferred)
10+ years of directly related experience with a minimum of 2 years of engineering leadership experience within the aerospace or defense industry.
Experience planning and performing product verification and certification testing, including development of test requirements.
Working knowledge of military technical specifications and documentation requirements.
Experience with counterfeit parts protection requirements.
Knowledge of government bids and proposals.
