Power Partners is on the lookout for an enthusiastic co-op student to become part of the Process Engineering team at our Athens, GA location. This co-op position offers a unique chance to dive into a large-scale manufacturing environment and put engineering theories into practice. You'll acquire in-depth insights into the transformer industry and play a supportive role in the execution of capital projects alongside the Process Engineering team.
Revise electrical schematics and update plant layout drawings for the installation of new equipment.
Utilize SolidWorks to design and prototype parts and machinery.
Collaborate with Process Engineers to guarantee the correct installation of new equipment.
Create documentation for new processes to facilitate operator training.
Acquire foundational knowledge in PLC and HMI programming.
Spearhead initiatives to enhance factory throughput.
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work in teams and to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
