We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration to fill an open Engineer - Substations position in our Program Management Services Division. This position will be located at our Client's Orange, CT office.
The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.
The Engineer will support capital projects associated with Substations. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, and budget estimation of electrical substations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the power distribution system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power systems, electrical engineering, and substation design. The Electrical Engineer will be required to build productive relationships with all team members and client representatives, while ensuring that high quality deliverables are provided in accordance with technical standards.
Salary Range: $75,000-$120,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
Responsibilities
Project engineering and support of all phases such as: scoping and budgeting, conceptual engineering, contract management and design, engineering design, construction, and closeout
Perform standard and complex engineering analysis, designs, and calculations
Responsible for leading and creating new conceptual designs based on client standards
Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable company, local, state, and national codes and standards
Utilize knowledge to influence and guide department engineers
Provide technical leadership in most complex projects that have a wide impact on the business
Mentor, develop and support team in technical skills
Project liaison to direct contractors on company policy, standards, and best practices
Work independently with little supervision
Requirements
2-5 years of electrical engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology
Working knowledge of industry standards and codes
PE requested
