, Job Description
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing...
As a part of thePlan and Technical Review Section, our Engineer will play a key role in achieving TCEQ’s mission. You would use your skills and experience to:
Engineer
Conduct in office and/or on-site engineering and technical reviews, analyses, quality control and evaluations of information from internal and external customers to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and follow up with appropriate actions.
Provide information and engineering assistance concerning requests and submittals from public water systems to internal and external customers through verbal communication, email, correspondence, meetings, on-site assistance, and presentations.
Provide customer service to internal and external customers related to the agency’s drinking water program through verbal and written communication, correspondence, reports, meetings, presentations, and responses to Public Information Requests (PIRs).
, Qualifications
Engineer I
Texas Professional Engineers license.
Engineer II
Texas Professional Engineers license plus one year of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.
Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.
OR
Career Ladder Progression: One year of full-time experience at TCEQ as an Engineer I.
Engineer III
Texas Professional Engineers license plus two years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.
Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.
OR
Career Ladder Progression: One year of full-time experience at TCEQ as an Engineer II.
