Position Summary
Join our Power System Engineering Division and become a vital part of our mission to provide strategic consulting services and guidance in the energy policy and regulatory arena. As an Energy Policy and Regulatory Consultant, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, including electric utilities, developers, financial institutions, and independent system operators, to navigate complex energy challenges and drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic consulting services on energy policy and regulations to various stakeholders in the electric power industry.
Facilitate financing for clean energy and electric grid infrastructure projects by working closely with financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
Guide our team in leveraging government-funded initiatives and incentives for renewable energy projects.
Ensure compliance with federal energy regulations and standards, including those set by FERC, NERC, and the Department of Energy.
Offer expertise and testimony on energy project submissions, including policy, regulations, and financial matters.
Collaborate with government affairs representatives and conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of compliance requirements and regulatory issues among employees and customers.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in energy policy, regulations, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electric utility industry, with a focus on policy and regulatory consulting.
Advanced knowledge of FERC standards, NERC orders, and global legislative activities impacting the energy landscape.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and quantitative analysis tools.
