Objective

About the Opportunity

Assist with administration and communication of all Employee Benefits Programs. Handle day to day compliance with Federal regulations regarding COBRA, HIPPA, Section 125 and healthcare mandates. Maintain correct data for all plans. Perform bookkeeping and communications for MFA Incorporated, Locals and Retirees. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.

Our Expectations Are That You

  • Assist with the administration and communication of all employee benefit plans and process and maintain correct eligibility data on plans
  • Process enrollment of new hires in both HR module and online eligibility with carrier
  • Assist benefit meetings as needed for MFA Incorporated
  • File claims and assist retirees with coordination of benefits
  • Resolve claims and audit EOBs
  • Process death claims for employees, their dependents, and retirees
  • Provide forms to beneficiaries, coordinate processing with the carrier to assure accurate benefit payment, and distribute life insurance proceeds to designated beneficiaries
  • Verify coverage to health care providers
  • Maintain all status changes, determine what action is necessary, and process in HR module and online status with carrier
  • Must maintain current knowledge of healthcare legislation changes (healthcare reform, etc.)
  • Enroll, update and maintain eligibility for employees through benefits module
  • Develop and coordinate communications with MFA Retirement programs, such as pre-retirement planning
  • Perform insurance bookkeeping responsibilities for MFA Incorporated, Retirees, and on-leave employees requiring direct billing. Includes depositing monies, maintaining ledgers for A/P and A/R, paying carrier admin fees, processing monthly billing
  • Assist with workers compensation administration
