This position coordinates all aspects of hospital preparedness and emergency response under the direction of the Manager of Emergency Preparedness and Management.
Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Coordinates Emergency Preparedness Drills for South Region
Prepares After Action Reports and assists in developing improvement plans
Assists in Education and Training events
Facilitates and tracks Hospital Incident Management System) NIMS course for South Region
Inventories Emergency Preparedness equipment
Participates in Monthly Emergency Operations meetings in South Region
Monitors and evaluates quality improvement activities related to Emergency Preparedness
Coordinates Decontamination team for South Region and facilitates Hazmat drills
Qualifications
Minimum Education Level
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum Licensure Requirements
Registered Nurse or Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic preferred
Minimum Certification Requirements
NIMS 100,200,700,800 HSEEP preferred, to be completed within 6 months of hire
Minimum Work Experience
3 years diverse experience in hospital or EMS emergency preparedness or equivalent

Environment
Office administration duties within hospital campuses and offsite locations
Occasional outside duties with drills and equipment checks/maintenance
Physical Demands
Primarily office administration and planning (sitting, standing, walking)
Some lifting and cart pushing/pulling during equipment checks and educational activities
Technical Skills
Computer, audio-visual equipment, communications equipment, and general office equipment.
