JOB SUMMARY: This position will have primary oversight of the hospitals Emergency Management program. This leadership role will direct others within the facility towards process improvement as related to emergency management. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment by independently evaluating multiple courses of action to take or apply, with only an occasional period of supervision.


CANDIDATES MUST BE CURRENT OR RECENT CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS


Essential Function


1. Participates in the creation, review, and refinement of the scope of the Emergency Management Program. Prepares internal and external reports related to emergency management. Assists in preparation for regulatory/accreditation surveys.

2. Conducts annual hazard vulnerability assessment (HVA)/risk analysis to determine the risk of natural, technological, human-caused and other disasters by facility.

3. Develop and maintain emergency plans & procedures for disasters identified in the HVA/risk analysis.


Qualifications


Completion of ICS 100 through 800

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in healthcare-related field
