Title: Elevator Technician

Location: Building 31, VA Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Rd., Ann Arbor, MI

Position: Elevator Technician

Job Type:One-Time-Position

Duties:

  • Conduct routine inspections of elevator systems to identify and address potential issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep elevators operating efficiently
  • Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot elevator malfunctions
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed
  • Test elevator systems after repairs or maintenance to ensure proper functioning
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Elevator Technician Certification (required)
  • Proven experience as an elevator technician or similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of elevator systems, mechanics, and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather condition
