The Electronics Technician is responsible for providing production support by performing calibrations and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and testing equipment. They will also assist in identifying areas of continuous improvement and providing failure analysis to increase first pass yield metrics.
Primary Responsibilities:
Calibration/Preventative Maintenance
Maintain test equipment through the preventive maintenance program.
Perform Calibrations and complete calibration forms.
Report, troubleshoot and assist with repair of failures for production equipment.
Troubleshooting/Failure Analysis
Troubleshoot Printed Circuit Boards as needed down to the component level.
Effectively perform, document, and communicate the results of the failure analysis.
Draft rework instructions as needed.
Continuous improvement
Update and refine processes, procedures, and forms, practicing lean principles and implementing 6S.
Identify improvement opportunities and lead or participate in Kaizen events.
Manufacturing Support
Support inspection activities as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
AA, AS degree in Electronics Engineering, technical school, or equivalent work/military experience.
Experience:
Soldering experience required; IPC standards knowledge a plus.
3+ years relevant experience testing and troubleshooting PCB’s to the component level.
Requires ability to use electronic test equipment such as Digital Multimeter, Variable DC Power Supply, and Oscilloscope.
Must understand electronic component functionality and interpret and follow electrical schematics.
Medical device manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
