Program Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated and enterprising candidate for an Electrical Engineering Internship to support and be mentored by the Principal Electrical Engineer. The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to engineering consulting practices, specifically in electrical engineering and design. This is an opportunity open to all Electrical Engineering students legally authorized to work in the United States. The internship will be for the upcoming summer, 2024.


Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities to perform are:

  • Electrical Design: Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for clean energy products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. 
  •  Testing and Validation: Participate in testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure reliability and performance. 
  •  Troubleshooting: Work with senior engineers to identify and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and production systems. 
  •  Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, schematics, and engineering changes. 
  •  Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate electrical systems into overall product designs. 
  •  Prototyping: Contribute to the development and testing of electrical prototypes to improve product performance. 
  •  Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in electrical engineering and apply this knowledge to projects.


Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a BS/BA/Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must have good verbal, written, and communication skills.   
  • Ability to understand/interpret data.
  • Ability to work with close-knit teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of/experience with MS Office.
  • Highly analytical skill set with Excel experience and attention to detail.
