Senior Instrumentation / Electrical Designer (EPC -Engineering Procurement Constructions)

Location : Remote

  • Develop conceptual and detailed instrument system designs based on project specifications, applicable standards, and codes.
  • Liaise with other disciplines throughout the development process, advising and resolving complex design issues.
  • Analyze problems, organize investigations, and determine specific design criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules and control estimates.
  • Prepare requisitions and specifications for instrument field equipment and control system modifications, including negotiations and change control.
  • Develop and check data sheets, cause and effect diagrams, block diagrams, and other typical instrument and controls deliverables.
  • Develop procurement documents and provide technical oversight of instrumentation packages throughout the design, procurement, and construction life cycle.
  • Prepare automation and metering philosophies, functional specifications, and system/network topology for automation systems.
  • Prepare I/O schedules, control narratives, Cause & Effect diagrams, and System Control diagrams (SCD).
  • Deliver automation system designs including SAS, SIL, F&G, and emergency systems.
  • Select field instruments for pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurements.
  • Perform or review sizing calculations for flow instruments, control valves, pressure safety valves, and actuator sizing.
  • Approve supplier documentation and follow up on equipment and documentation delivery.
  • Prepare documentation for onshore and offshore installation.
  • Estimate costs and weights in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Participate in onshore/offshore surveys and equipment FAT/SATs.
