Electrical Engineer

Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as designing electrical systems for building construction, engineering calculations and specifications, creating 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models in Revit, managing engineering design projects, and traveling to project locations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with project teams.
Proficiency with technical writing, office products, load calculations, discipline-specific design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit), power system modeling, spreadsheets, and engineering tools.
Design experience with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and critical power system components and system topologies is required.
Experience with power system modeling, like short circuit coordination and arc flash studies is desired.
Broad design experience including lighting, grounding, and power distribution from utility coordination to device power is required.
Experience with planning and conducting inspections and investigations on various aspects of the construction and design of facilities and systems, applying applicable regulations and policies
Highly proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
Perform system assessments and prepare technical reports.
Review submittals, RFIs and contractor proposed change orders, and conduct site observations.
Assist with construction site visits as required for observation, answering contractor questions, or representing the owner in preparing punch lists.
Create and develop planning and design concepts for projects.
Prepare presentation drawings and otherwise assists in presentations both internally and externally.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Revit Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
Experience with Project Management
Familiar with all related codes and standards
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills with project teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in facilities or data centers is a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
