Electrical Designer

Electrical Designer - Engineering - (White Springs, Florida, U.S.A.)

What you will do:

• Consulting with project managers and technical experts to determine electrical design assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
• Participate in client meetings and communications.
• Prepare detailed design drawings for both in-house engineering and fast track projects
• Prepare detailed design drawings for in-house works received through work requests
• Perform basic electrical calculations and translate design requirements into specific configurations
• Retrieve and review all customer specification documents, vendor quotes, drawing and diagrams
• Coordinate with outside engineering on project information and execution
• Implement standard schematic design and documentation
• Coordinate execution of project work
• May supervise electricians during project implementation
• Perform troubleshooting and systems checkout
• Create project BOM spec materials and acquire quotes
• Work as part of the engineering group
• Project pursuits/planning/development.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related field from an accredited school.
• Knowledge and familiarity with National Electric Code
• Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project status and changes
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Evaluation of electrical and technology systems
• Candidate will design/engineer building power, lighting, and technology-systems
• Candidate will be responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects
• Report preparation and presentation to clients
• Must be knowledgeable of plant safety and environmental policies and procedures and regulatory compliance criteria
