The Electrical Controls Engineer will design and develop electrical and control systems for our client's equipment, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. This role includes creating electrical drawings, writing control programs, and providing guidance to new Electrical Engineers. You will act as a primary contact for electrical and control engineering matters and support field services through travel and troubleshooting.
Roles And Responsibilities -
Maintain a safe work environment.
Develop electrical drawings and control programming (Siemens required) based on P&IDs.
Integrate PLC logic with DCS/SCADA systems.
Source and select new electrical components and instruments.
Review and reflect customer system specifications in designs.
Travel (30-50%) for troubleshooting, training, and start-up support.
Provide electrical and control support to field services.
Work within budget constraints.
Create BOMs or lists for procurement of electrical instruments and controls.
Collaborate with outsourcing partners for design and programming tasks.
Must-Have Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in controls/electrical engineering.
Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming.
Familiarity with UL and NEC standards.
Preferred: Knowledge of water treatment equipment and components.
Ability to relocate to Brooklyn Park, MN before starting work.
US Citizenship or Green Card holder with work authorization.
