NCCER has an exciting opportunity in the Digital Learning department for someone who is passionate about learning and the construction industry. The successful candidate will bring strong administrative, project management, and content management capabilities to the team along with comfort in working in Learning Management Systems.
Areas Of Responsibility
Work closely with and in support of the Senior E-Learning Project Manager, internal and external Subject Matter Experts, project stakeholders, and vendors in the procurement and development of source materials that will be used to develop eLearning courses. Edit, review, test, and update content as necessary to ensure high quality, accurate, and error-free deliverables.
Support eLearning Project Managers with all aspects of course builds in our Learning Management System, including building courses across multiple stages to incorporate feedback (alpha, beta, gold), testing these course builds (or those of teammates), and addressing any issues identified by customers or internal stakeholders in a timely manner. Support work across stakeholder groups to ensure end-to-end completion of go-live requirements (including things like billing codes, shop launch, asset tags, etc.).
Perform other administrative duties in support of the Digital Learning department, including participating in project meetings, helping with course, test and other artifact reviews, data clean-up, and other needs as they emerge.
Utilize project-based tools, like Smartsheet and Jira, to track and report on progress of projects in relation to schedules established by project managers in the organization.
Keep up to date with latest eLearning trends to keep informed about eLearning formats, authoring processes and settings, emerging best practices, accessibility needs, etc. Use these to support project-related requirements.
Build and maintain rapport with project managers across the Digital Learning team and other departments. Ask questions and self-direct other learning opportunities to continue to grow, develop, and build fluency across team and organization wide needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, instructional design, or online learning
One (1) to two (2) years of relevant work experience a plus, preferably in eLearning or education technology
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, detail oriented, and deadline-driven environment
Excited, passionate, proactive, and self-motivated with an enthusiasm for learning
Experience with digital content development, workflows, and best practices preferred
Meticulous attention to detail
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Software Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
Excellent project management software skills, such as Smartsheet or other tools
Some experience with learning management systems or content management systems, particularly Moodle or Totara, preferred
Knowledge of eLearning content authoring tools, preferably Storyline 360 and Rise 360, preferred
