ELA Teacher -- Remote | WFH

Position Overview

This is a salaried, exempt role within our innovative charter school environment, operating on a 10-month schedule from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm daily. Compensation is performance-based, set annually. As an instructional leader, you will report to the head of school.

Key Responsibilities

Lead educational groups or classes, implementing our rigorous curriculum to maximize scholarly achievement.

Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning climate that caters to diverse learning styles through synchronous and asynchronous methods.

Cultivate a culture aligned with our school's vision and mission, promoting classical education principles.

Develop and deliver grade-level appropriate learning experiences that nurture intellectual and moral growth.

Collaborate effectively with scholars, parents, colleagues, and community members, embracing diverse perspectives.

Utilize data-driven strategies for continuous improvement in scholar achievement.

Manage virtual classroom environments effectively, including VR sessions and interactive field trips.

Handle scholar misconduct promptly and resolve conflicts with skill and empathy.

Encourage independent and collaborative work ethics among scholars.

Continuously develop professionally and maintain a dynamic, inclusive classroom environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Eligibility for a teaching certificate in Florida, preferably in elementary or middle grades.

Experience in charter schools and familiarity with classical education principles are advantageous.

Proficiency in delivering curriculum online or experience in virtual reality environments is desirable.

Additional Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to our school's mission and values.

National Board of Certified Teacher certification and integrated curriculum experience are preferred.
