The Environmental, Health & Safety Intern will take an active role in establishing, implementing, and overseeing EHS systems with focus on compliance and supporting an engaged safety culture.

What You Will Do
The Environmental, Health & Safety Intern will take an active role in establishing, implementing, and overseeing EHS systems with focus on compliance and supporting an engaged safety culture.
- Develop implement and lead behavior-based safety initiative.
- Establish one interactive training mechanism in place of classroom training lecture.
- Create, deliver and track EHS training.
- Participate in at least one kaizen event as EHS representation.
- Develop or update EHS written policies.
- Participate with safety committee and assist driving committee to be action based.
- Complete ergonomic assessments and define position physical demands with support of occupational medicine.
- Contribute to completing environmental audits associated with air, water, and waste.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors/Masters Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or another technical program.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Ability to receive and implement verbal or written direction.
- Ability to prioritize, manage workload and self-motivate.
- Strong ability to convey ideas and explain decisions clearly and concisely.
