Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

Role Summary: As the EHS Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and secure workplace for our 550+ team members while minimizing our environmental impact. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safety Leadership & Programs:
  • Lead EHS and Safety committees, driving safety, health, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Anticipate and address environmental, health, and safety concerns, implementing effective solutions.
  • Promote and maintain a safety-conscious culture across the site.
  • Develop and maintain industrial hygiene programs (e.g., noise surveys, atmosphere monitoring).
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation program confidentially.
  • Ensure timely reporting of EHS & ESG data to other stakeholders.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Provide guidance to site leadership and supervision on EHS-related matters.
  • Conduct and coordinate EHS training for all employees to ensure compliance with legal, system, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records as mandated by legal and customer standards.
  • Environmental and Sustainability:
  • Manage material/chemical use and disposal records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with associates to reduce our environmental footprint while enhancing business processes.
  • Provider leadership and guidance for an ESG Specialist.

Requirements

Basic :

Leadership

  • At least ten (ten) years of applied leadership experience in an operational, manufacturing or construction environment, including:
  • Responsibility for safety results of organizational unit.
  • Responsibility for environmental programs and containment actions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EHS, ESG, and Security programs as well as Federal, State, and Local Safety and Environmental regulations.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders at all levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Ability to lead safety incidents.

Preferred

Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree: Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related major.

Certifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP®)
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH®)
  • Registered Environmental Professional®

Experience

  • Three (3) years of applied Labor Relations experience
  • Working with other Worker’s Compensation Insurance provider or Third Party Administrator.
  • Supporting Medium or Multi-Site manufacturing locations.
  • Implementation or maintenance of OSHA VPP.
  • Working with Electrical Service over 600 volts.
