The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, county, and city environmental regulations and company-specific EHS standards. This role provides critical support to the site Environmental Health & Safety Manager and involves extensive coordination with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in driving safety and environmental initiatives, conducting audits, and facilitating training programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Provide and coordinate Environmental Permitting requirements to comply with Federal, State, County and City regulations as well as any other environmental compliance
Provide support to site Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Administrative duties: filing, data base tracking, data entry, update and communicate scorecards
Assist EHS Manager within house and headquarters audits
Interfaces with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, State/Local regulators) and Division/HQ safety professionals
Leadership and participation in planning and executing site safety events
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to PepsiCo Global Environmental Health & Safety Standards (GEHSMS)
Support Safety/Environmental Programs, coordinate quarterly reviews with all owners
Coordinate Safety/Environmental audits & assessments to achieve a Best-in-Class status
Identify, report, and rectify potential Safety/Environmental violations through appropriate channels
Utility tracking, monitoring, and reporting. Identify high usages and engage the proper individuals
Support Internal Safety and Environmental Agenda
Participate in the incident investigation process using root cause analysis techniques
Develop training calendar and materials to ensure site compliance
Ability to provide classroom training on a broad range of EHS topics
Help develop and participate in the site Green Team and Safety Committee
Engage and develop team members in EHS programs
Provide training support for current employees and new hire onboarding
Own MyEHS calendar and ensure task execution
Communicate internally and externally
Work with city inspectors/auditors for regulatory permitting and reports (air, storm water, wastewater, waste, fuel, etc.) – Permits and reports filed on-time.
Work with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance to Frito Lay EHS standards
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $42,000 - $67,000 based on a full-time schedule
Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
2-3 years of previous experience in related areas
GED - high school diploma required
Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
knowledge of WWT systems and requirements - pH, compliance, monitor and testing of TSS/CBOD/PH
Associate degree in safety and health or related discipline is preferred
Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
Ability to work with highly confidential information
Must be reliable and have solid attendance work history
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to support a 24/7 operation
Ability to interact and motivate employees to drive employee involvement
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and proactively lead/influence tactical/strategic planning
Ability to give and receive performance-based feedback with positive intent for personal & professional development
Self-motivated and results oriented, requiring minimal supervision, follows through on commitments
Other duties as assigned to support the business
Must be capable of managing multiple projects and meeting timelines
