Remote position must be based out of the metropolitan area of Atlanta, Georgia

Sales Territory: Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama

What you’ll do:

  • Maximize the sales of G-W products to existing and new accounts in an assigned territory to grow business.
  • Contact, sell, and service teachers and administrators at middle and secondary schools.
  • Achieve sales goals for territory by effectively communicating with customers, planning sales coverage, managing resources, selling, and servicing accounts via phone, email, and social media.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by continually providing G-W product information, news, service, and support.
  • Research school programs and faculty to maintain current customer database information.
  • Report customer and product feedback and market information within the territory.
  • Travel via automobile and/or airplane to assigned territory to represent G-W at related trade shows, conferences, and/or customer-requested meetings.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in sales, marketing, or business preferred.
  • Five years of sales or marketing experience required.
  • Experience in educational sales or publishing a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of people.
  • Experience and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Must fulfill legal requirements of their state of residence to rent and drive a car.
  • Field Educational Consultants (FEC) have the following expectations regarding travel:
  • Travel via automobile and/or airplane within assigned territory.
    • Typically, an FEC is expected to be in the field at least 4 working days of the week.
    • A minimum of 25% in overnight travel is to be regularly expected. This can change dramatically however, depending on the territory and can easily extend to 50% during peak times and possibly 75% during State Adoptions where applicable.
