Remote position must be based out of the metro areas Dallas or Houston

Sales Territory: Texas - College Market

Goodheart-Willcox Publisher, Experts in Career and Technical Education (CTE), is seeking a career-oriented, energetic, and self-motivated Educational Consultant for the College Market based out of the metropolitan areas of Dallas or Houston. As a customer relationship expert, you will be responsible for increasing the Company’s overall sales and profits through the implementation and management of our sales and marketing objectives. What you’ll do:

• Maximize the sales of G-W products to existing and new accounts in an assigned territory to grow business.
• Contact, sell, and service influencers and decision makers in community colleges, junior colleges, four-year colleges, and universities.
• Achieve sales goals for territory by effectively communicating with customers, planning sales coverage, managing resources, selling, and servicing accounts via phone, email, and social media.
• Build strong relationships with customers by continually providing G-W product information, news, service, and support.
• Research school programs and faculty to maintain current customer database information.
• Report customer and product feedback and market information within the territory.
  
  

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in sales, marketing, or business preferred.
• Five years of sales or marketing experience required.
• Experience in educational sales or publishing a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of people.
• Experience and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software.
• Must fulfill legal requirements of their state of residence to rent and drive a car.
• Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane within assigned territory to represent G-W at related trade shows, conferences and to work prospective accounts and sales opportunities
• Ability to travel a minimum of 25% overnight travel is to be regularly expected, but can extend to 50% -75% during peak times.
