Your Role

This is an omni channel Fashion Editor position. The Fashion Editor will work with the Senior Fashion Editor and creative partners in Art, Copy and Design to develop stories through styling that engage the customer, drive sales, elevate the brand and support company strategy. The Fashion Editor is responsible for pulling/styling out on-trend, brand appropriate wardrobe and accessories for women’s, men’s and children’s photo and video shoots for Neiman Marcus.


What You’ll Do

  • Style assigned editorials for the Neiman Marcus Campaign for digital/social media, print and video assets
  • Work closely with creative team (Art Directors/Creative Directors) throughout the pre-production and shoot process to ensure creative vision is executed
  • Collaborate with buying and fashion offices to curate merchandise and edit content for editorial stories
  • Effectively resolve conflicts between schedule, resources and creative needs
  • Deliver on-set styling images that accurately depict clothing and are styled according to Neiman Marcus standards
  • Work closely with vendors and buying offices to keep the Styling Closet “stocked” each season
  • Collaborate with Fashion Editing team and Fashion Directors to create seasonal style guides that communicate cohesive, strategic on-brand styling directives
  • Maintain a knowledge and passion for current fashion trends and vendors
  • Style on-set/location for editorial shoots when schedule permits


What you Bring

  • 3 – 5 years styling experience required, along with a portfolio of recent styling work
  • Relevant retail/production background is a plus
  • Innovative with a keen aesthetic sense
  • Understands the NM brand
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with marketing/merchant teams on a regular basis
  • Ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Adaptive to change and tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Pro-active and able to show initiative
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Computer/internet savvy
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Experience in a photo studio and on location a plus
  • Degree in Fashion or related area a plus
