Classification: Part-time Contractor

Location: Remote in New York

Compensation: $20/hour; up to 50 hours/month

WSE also holds partnerships with 100+ rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.

Wave Media Agency is seeking a part-time video editor to assist with creating engaging short-form video content for our Tennis-related social media platforms. This position is ideal for someone with strong video editing skills, a passion for Tennis, and an interest in building a career in social media.

Responsibilities

• Create content pieces across social media channels managed by Bullpen Sports Network inc. but not limited to Tennis Channel (TikTok, YT Shorts, Snap Star)
• Company shall inform Contributor of required content output and estimated hours at the beginning of each month, subject to mutual agreement
• Contributor estimated to work an average of 50 hours per month, dependent on Tennis calendar
• Edit and assemble video footage into compelling and visually-appealing social media storytelling videos that align with current trends and audience preferences
• Apply video editing techniques such as trimming, cutting, transitions, and effects to create dynamic stories
• Add social optimizations such as music, sound effects, and captions to enhance the overall impact of the videos
• Adhere to brand guidelines and social media platform specifications to ensure consistent and optimized video content
• Stay up-to-date on the latest social media video trends and adapt editing styles accordingly
• Work closely with the content team to brainstorm and plan weekly content, ensuring consistency and quality
• Support the team in gathering data and insights to refine content strategies and increase audience engagement
• Assist with other video editing projects as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually-compelling video content
• A strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and their respective video content preferences
• Strong interest and knowledge in sports (preferably Tennis), with an eagerness to learn more about digital engagement strategies
• Creative and proactive approach to tasks, with effective communication skills and willingness to bring your own creativity to video edits
• A creative mindset with a willingness to learn new editing techniques and software
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  
  

Physical Requirements + Work Environment

• Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware
• The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.
• Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours
• Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed
• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment
• The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office
