Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Film Faculty Member for the Summer of 2024 semester. As a member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of filmmakers, guiding them toward excellence and helping them find their unique voices in the industry.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Dean to develop tailored curricula for each class, ensuring alignment with industry standards and student needs.
Engage students effectively in the learning process, creating a nurturing atmosphere conducive to creativity and growth.
Motivate students to produce their best work, providing personalized guidance and feedback.
Execute teaching responsibilities promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of excellence.
Participate in bi-monthly faculty meetings to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our programs.
Coordinate with school administration on matters related to student attendance, grading, and overall academic performance.
Collaborate closely with teaching assistants to optimize the learning experience for students.
Conduct individual meetings with students to provide mentorship and support in their academic and professional endeavors.
Create and refine course syllabi to reflect evolving industry trends and meet the evolving needs of our student body.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in filmmaking or a related field.
Minimum of five years of professional experience in the film industry.
Extensive proficiency in Adobe Premiere; Adobe Certified Instructor certification preferred.
Experience working with HD and 4K footage, along with a deep understanding of professional editing workflows.
Strong knowledge of editing craft and storytelling techniques.
Teaching Experience Preferred, But Not Mandatory.

Additional Information
Compensation: $50 - $60 hourly
Semester Duration: 15 weeks
Teaching Commitment: Minimum of 6 hours per week
Remote teaching opportunities available; comfort with online instruction is essential.
