eCornell Enrollment Counselor -- Remote | WFH

Our online learning unit delivers professional certificate courses to individuals and organizations around the world. Courses are developed by expert faculty in a wide range of topics, including data analytics, management, marketing, human resources, leadership, and STEM. Students learn in an interactive, small cohort format to gain skills they can immediately apply in their organizations, while earning a professional certificate. Enrollment Counselor Level II

As an Enrollment Counselor Level II, you will work closely with leadership and team members to manage the new student qualification/enrollment process and ensure achievement of all performance objectives. This is a metrics-driven position.

Responsibilities

Establish relationships and guide potential students through the enrollment process using social selling techniques.

Actively utilize guidelines provided on leading and lagging indicators.

Foster an environment of cooperation and teamwork among team members and team leads.

Understand the team's goals for the fiscal year and how this role supports them.

Partner with other departments as necessary to finalize the enrollment process, including Accounting, Student Services, and Helpdesk teams.

Use LinkedIn and other relevant social media platforms to assist with the enrollment process and help position us as thought leaders.

Utilize our systems to accomplish these goals: Salesforce, Destiny, SMS Magic, and Calendly.

Provide research and guidance for programs; solicit customers.

Assist in the development of promotional presentations or demonstrations.

Interact with customers through inbound and outbound calls to promote program offerings.

Follow up with customers and others as necessary to ensure all factors are considered; prepare evaluations of recommendations.

Resolve customer issues by researching circumstances; provide status, policy, and other inquiries.

Research and pursue opportunities for new customer pipelines; manage customer base.

Maintain program quota within assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available current and future programs.

Build and maintain internal and external relationships that lead to increased enrollment; recommend programs by calling prospective and established customers; keep records and prepare reports on activities.

Requirements

High School Diploma and 4 to 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Proven sales or related experience.

Detail-oriented and organized.

Focused on achieving optimum levels of service while maintaining high ethical standards.

Excellent customer service skills for potential and newly enrolling students.

Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

At least 1 year of experience as a Level I Enrollment Counselor or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree and up to 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Compensation

This position is an Enrollment Counselor II role with an hourly range of $24.00 - $26.00.

Additional Information

This position requires individual state income tax filings if working temporarily outside the primary work location.
