Summary:

The eCommerce Specialist, reporting to the ERP Business Systems Manager, is responsible for the content management, maintenance, upgrades, and facilitation of our eCommerce website (Magento).

This position requires a combination of technical, analytical, database, and website application skills.

Daily activities include both front and backend ecommerce website management, ERP (P21) functions, and managing a large product database.

This position will communicate and work regularly with internal teams to meet company goals and customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include the following with additional tasks as assigned:

  • Maintain product data integrity on both our Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system (P21) and website platform (Magento) displaying on our ecommerce site.
  • Maintain product listings in Google Merchant Center, indexing, sitemap, and analytics.
  • Maintain the content, product offering, system settings, and SEO of ecommerce website.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and all major vendors to update and maintain product pricing and accurate information.
  • Work with sales team to set proper aggressive pricing strategies for B2C sales.
  • Manage service request tickets with our third-party host for the ecommerce site (Magento) and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed for updates.
  • Work with our third party hosted partner for ecommerce website (Magento) maintenance: plugins, themes, application, database, upgrades, etc.
  • Work on ecommerce orders with inside sales ensuring excellent customer service, accurate pricing, and item availability.
  • Gather data from our suppliers to prepare, and import into ecommerce website (Magento).
  • Manage product and content postings on eBay and Amazon website sales sites.
  • Assist the marketing team with ecommerce strategy, special projects, and vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Education/Skills/Experience

Required:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in website management or a related role.
  • Above Average Microsoft Excel skill.
  • Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills along with a professional and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience maintaining Magento ecommerce store (or related integrated ecommerce website).
  • Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) experience a huge plus.
  • Microsoft SQL query writing experience.
  • Experience with Google digital marketing tools (Google Merchant Center, Google Advertising (PPC), Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools).
  • Familiarity with front-end programming languages (HTML, CSS and PHP).
