Early Literacy Trainer -- Remote | WFH

Position Overview

The Early Literacy Trainer is responsible for delivering content and managing our brand presence and voice across our Early Literacy Certification and Hub Platform to build a highly engaged following and enhance subject matter knowledge for Early Literacy Certificate candidates. You will manage a caseload of certificate candidates, providing expert guidance on product use and best practices in various formats such as live virtual classes, group discussions, live small group coaching, and by developing compelling posts and responses within discussion forums. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Coaching, you will help build confident, competent early literacy educators. You will work closely with our education, professional development, and memberships teams.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Early Literacy Certificate candidates and create opportunities to foster meaningful professional relationships with them.

Prepare and deliver live Early Literacy Professional Development sessions daily for certificate candidates.

Establish a regular cadence of communication and engagement with assigned teachers and respond to questions in a timely manner.

Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Coaching and other colleagues to develop discussion content to share within the Early Literacy discussion forums.

Hold weekly office hours for teacher support and schedule one-on-one meetings with assigned coaches as requested.

Read and respond to discussions in the Early Literacy forum daily.

Develop, refine, and deliver Professional Development content for early literacy certification candidates based on current best practices in early childhood education and the science of reading.

Perform research on current topics, trends, and best practices in coaching and educational leadership to support coaching work.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in early childhood education or a related field; Master's preferred.

Certification and/or specialization in Early Literacy Instruction.

Minimum of 5 years writing educational content and/or professional development.

Minimum of 3 years serving in an educational coaching or similar educational leadership role.

Experience establishing and communicating performance and quality metrics aligned with organizational goals.

Self-directed with a strong drive for success.

Takes responsibility for work with a strong sense of project/work management.

Ability to research, listen, and identify client needs based on assessment conversations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong project management skills.

Ability to learn new technology applications.

Working knowledge of, or experience in, the early childhood field.

Working knowledge of our products.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
