Job Goal: The instructor should be a highly motivated early childhood instructor knowledgeable of best practices in early childhood education. Familiarity with ECERS and Creative Curriculum are a plus.
Reports to: Principal
Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
ESL Approval Is Preferred But Not Required.
Evaluation: The Early Childhood Teacher will be evaluated by the Principal.
Duties And Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate lessons using Creative Curriculum.
Lead small or large group activities that support the development of children’s language, self-help skills, social cooperation and development of positive self-concepts.
Maintain classroom management while providing a nurturing and caring learning environment for the students.
Provide frequent and meaningful communication between home and school.
