Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conducting regulatory analyses related to air quality matters as driven by the Clean Air Act;
- Preparing air emissions inventories and emissions calculations;
- Conducting air dispersion modeling;
- Developing air quality permit applications under NSR, PSD, Title V, and state-level regulations; and
- Performing analyses related to air pollution control systems and source monitoring and measurement requirements.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering or related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental or chemical engineering. (preferred)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, if applicable. (preferred)
- At least 2 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience, preferably with an environmental consulting firm, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
- Experience with federal, state and local air regulations and permitting processes (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Experience in environmental compliance services (stormwater, spill planning, hazardous waste, etc.) and compliance auditing. (preferred)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, derive actionable insights, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Minimum: $67,555/yearly / Maximum: $99,700/yearly (Costa Mesa)
