Fosters persistence and completion by maintaining a caseload of dual enrollment students; utilizes college’s early alert retention software as part of this caseload maintenance.
Monitors progress of students in caseload with check-ins, scheduled meetings or proactive outreach and communication, responding to student questions, concerns and needs. Assists senior dual student with FAFSA completion if continuing at SCC post-graduation.
Partners with course instructors at the high schools to discuss student performance and identify academic at-risk students.
Provide information about campus resources and college success strategies.
Helps students in identifying, developing, and implementing learning strategies and study skills specific to course materials.
Leads workshops on academic success strategies and any other related areas involving student success.
Implements Office of Student Success retention and persistence-based initiatives.
Collaborates with various areas within and outside of Enrollment Management and Student Success to facilitate student success, retention, and persistence.
Assists with development of goals, objectives, and learning outcomes for the Office of Student Success, in support of the college's strategic plan.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in related field with 3 years of experience in student services program.
Additional Comments
This is a grant funded position through 2025, with projected renewal through 2030, based on program success.
