We are looking to add a performance-driven, highly motivated driver recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and strongly desire to learn, grow, and develop as a recruiting professional while working in the fast-paced, multi-trillion-dollar transportation industry. The driver recruiter's primary functions are to screen, qualify, and quickly progress drivers through the hiring process from start to finish. This position reports to the director of recruiting and will work in a hybrid capacity out of Sewickley, PA.
Responsibilities
- Conduct phone screen and telephone interviews daily with prospective company drivers and owner-operators.
- Proactively source candidates by utilizing email campaigns, social media, driver referrals, calling incoming driver leads, and other lead sources.
- Enter candidate information and update the application tracking system database.
- Complete and review background checks, including MVR, PSP, DAC reports, and employment verifications.
- Review and process applications to determine whether applicants meet hiring criteria.
- Effective pipeline management and prioritization within the applicant tracking system.
- On average, generate over 60 driver application calls daily.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least one year of previous recruiting or sales development experience
- Previous experience working in an applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, listening, responding, following up)
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- You must be comfortable making high outbound calls and have a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to work individually or as a team player.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check.
