JOB TITLE: Full-Time Driver

SUPERVISOR: Logistics Manager

DESCRIPTION:

The primary function of the Warehouse Delivery Driver is to drive and operate a box truck or company vehicle for the purpose of delivering product to vendors and client residences while providing excellent customer service and care for product.

DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under general supervision this position drives the Company truck or automobile to deliver products and/or picks up merchandise.
  • Additionally, this position supports the shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse.
  • Responsible for keeping vehicles fueled in accordance to company policy
  • Responsible for notifying management of needed repairs.
  • Responsible for taking trucks to regular maintenance appointments.
  • Follow all safety rules and applicable laws.
  • Manage offloading and onloading of inventory while following company safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for all weekly deliveries and photoshoot deliveries and installs.
  • Responsible for accurately distributing and gathering delivery documentation and BOLs for local deliveries.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate packing standards for all product loaded into the truck and moved between locations.
  • Assist the receiving and shipping team with all large freight orders.
  • Support in keeping the warehouse floor and inventory organized and clean.
  • Help put product away accurately.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages before and during delivery.

DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of warehouse experience preferably in home decor or interiors.
  • Experience driving a 26’ box truck.
  • Valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Driver’s license for the class of vehicle to be operated
  • Must have no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses.
  • Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record – required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to write clear and grammatical reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees.
  • Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • Be a team player
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize large items, up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
