Works directly and indirectly with other drafters, designers, and operating company personnel to prepare specifications and drawings for the construction and maintenance departments.
Supports engineers and/or designers with design deliverables that support the installation, operation, and maintenance of high voltage transmission facilities (poles, towers, conductors, etc.).
Sound judgment is necessary.
Prepares critical detailed schematic drawings to visually communicate to line crews what work will be required on various project types.
As schedule permits, 5% of time in the field and 95% of time in the office
Office work consists of communicating via email and phone with teammates, attending departmental meetings, performing calculations, and creating and reviewing plans/drawings.
Works forty hours per week with overtime as needed.
