Documentation Specialist
The primary responsibility of this role is to work with workflow requests to download, manage, and organize engineering documents and drawings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various departments and ensure the accuracy and accessibility of all engineering-related documents.
Responsibilities:
1. Receive and review workflow requests for engineering documents and drawings from various team members.
2. Download, manage, and organize engineering documents and drawings, ensuring accuracy, version control, and proper formatting.
3. Collaborate with team members to obtain the required documents and ensure all necessary revisions and updates are completed.
4. Maintain a comprehensive document management system for engineering documents and drawings, including electronic and hard-copy files.
5. Coordinate and communicate with various departments and team members regarding document requests, updates, and deadlines.
6. Provide training and support to team members on document management best practices and the use of the document management system.
7. Monitor and track document change requests, ensuring that all required changes are addressed and implemented in a timely manner.
8. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to the document management system and related processes.
9. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent experience.
2. At least 2 years of experience in document management or a similar role, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.
3. Strong working knowledge of engineering documents and drawings, including familiarity with document management systems.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and SharePoint, as well as document management software.
5. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
8. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
