Process Mapper/Business Process Advisor
6-month contract
The Business Process Mapper role will include activities supporting projects and assignments related to enterprise projects, strategic initiatives, and business operations solutions. Working cross functionally across diverse locations, backgrounds, and disciplines. They collaborate with multiple business stakeholders to understand functional requirement needs, identify current and future state business processes, assist the business stakeholders in uncovering areas for improvement, and consult with leadership to envision future business capabilities. This role has internal and external stakeholder accountability managing proof of concepts with strategic partners. This position has high visibility to leadership and business partners through direct interaction and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple end-to-end projects to deliver strategic initiatives, displaying strong project leadership skills.
- Consults with stakeholders and users on complex projects to identify current business procedures and clarify project objectives
- Actively creates a collaborative environment and influences people to move toward a common goal
- Builds strong working relationships with other team members, vendors, and customers
- Conducts meetings and presentations to communicate information effectively and in the appropriate form to customers, business users and technical staff
- Provides analysis of business challenges and applies problem solving skills to meet business needs
- Creates project documentation which may include Business Requirements Documents, AS-IS and TO-BE Process Flow and Data Flow diagrams, Solution Design Specifications, Test Plans, and Test Cases
- Interacts with customers to define information for solution needs and asks the right questions to surface essential requirements information
- Provides customer service by facilitating “testable” requirements gathering sessions and facilitating the UAT testing process with key stakeholders
- Evaluates reporting solution output for accuracy, as well as policies and procedures for quality
- Reviews new or modified reporting solution functionality, including documentation and specifications, to determine if the final solution(s) will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines
- Monitors and tracks multiple projects and the associated tasks simultaneously and cope with rapidly changing information and circumstances
- Assists with project management activities as needed such as scheduling and facilitating discussions, capturing meeting minutes, and maintaining momentum to ensure project success
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of work experience in business analysis, process mapping, or SOP writing in the healthcare industry
- Proven experience working in a matrixed environment across internal development teams, executive stakeholders, and external third-party vendors
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Proven ability to map business process, gather requirements, and formulate concise requirements documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills that can be tailored to the audience
- Ability to perform duties independently and with minimal supervision
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in process mapping and documentation
- Analytical and curious mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Certification
