As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team.


As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and organizing all project-related documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient document control processes to support project delivery and facilitate communication among project teams.


Qualifications & Experience:

Associate degree in Business Administration with minimum 2 years’ experience in office environment preferred.

Experienced in document control, preferably within the electrical contracting or construction industry.

Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., SharePoint, Procore, Microsoft Excel).

Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to document control and record keeping.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Adobe PDF, Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD a plus


Typical Tasks and Responsibilities:

Oversee the creation, distribution, and archiving of all project documents, including drawings, specifications, RFI’s, and correspondence.

Maintain accurate records of document versions and revisions to ensure stakeholders have access to the most up-to-date information.

Perform regular audits to verify document accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards and contractual requirements.

Facilitate efficient retrieval of documents as needed by project teams, clients, or regulatory authorities.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to collect, review, and distribute project-related documentation.

Provide guidance and training to team members on document control procedures and systems to promote adherence to established protocols.

Administer document management systems and software platforms, ensuring proper configuration, security, and access controls.

Provide support by photocopying, printing and scanning engineering drawings to engineers, estimators and project managers.

Identify opportunities to streamline document control processes, enhance system functionality, and implement best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
